Birthday haul

Hi guys!

If you watch my YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/user/ellieminett) then you might know what I got already but as on all videos, you can't really see things as well as if you take a picture of it.

So this is what I got.

Firstly, from my parents I got a travel kit: foldable rucksack, after bite pen, mosquito repellent and money belt. Oh and I completely forgot to show you in the video but they also got me a pandora charm (it's a globe).

From my sister I got these cacti for my room that I named Judith and Bob.

Bob
Judith

My boyfriend got me a box of Neuhaus chocolates (the best!) and made me my favourite dessert: mi-cuit.

From my aunt and cousin I got a £20 amazon voucher (I've bought a book and a film so far and still have a little left).

From a really good friend of mine I got a lovely letter (hand decorated) and a bracelet she made me.

My sister's godfather gave me a book on travel safety.

And last but not least, the rest of my family and my neighbour gave me money for traveling!

I hope this might have given you some ideas if you're buying someone a gift.

Summer clothing haul!

Hi guys!

As promised in my last video, here are a few pictures of my new clothes and what they look like on.

Firstly, these trousers are from Lola & Liza. I've paired them with all the t-shirts I bought from H&M.

I then went on boohoo.com and bought this playsuit.

Again from boohoo, I found this jumpsuit.

Lastly, I fell in love with maxi dress! It's also from boohoo.

I'm not going to show you my socks on because that would be a bit silly but you can see them on in my video if you really want to. All the links to these clothes (that I could find) are in the description box beneath the video. You can watch it here.

That is everything I bought! I hope you liked it!

Ps: do you like my new hair? I literally had it cut this morning!

Mini sale haul

Hi guys!

I'm sorry this is a little late, I wasn't home yesterday so I didn't have the chance to post this.

Anyway, the sale season is over here in Belgium (I don't know what the policies are in other countries) and though I'm not a huge sale shopper, I did buy a couple of things this time. I didn't go mad because there wasn't a lot I needed and there weren't that many amazing deals.

The first thing I bought were these shoes from Esprit, these were 20% off I think so they were around the 50€ mark (£40 or $60) and I needed some winter shoes, though we still haven't had a winter yet! They're wedges, they've got sheepskin on them, they're comfortable, easy to walk in and really versatile, what more could you want?

Seeing as I couldn't find anything in the shops, I went online to boohoo.com. I was looking for a basic dress because I have barely any dresses and I found this. It's called the Ashley wrap dress. It's super flattering, really comfortable, soft, pretty good quality and good for lots of occasions be it casual or smart. The best part? It cost me 9€ (£7 or $12), 14€ with the shipping which was remarkably quick!

Then I realized I don't have any black winter tights so I bought some from a shop called pimkie for 5€ (£3 ish or $7).

Last but not least I bought a deodorant because I needed one, I have no idea how much it cost but it was inexpensive. This is just a random one that I picked up and it's called Nivea pure invisible. It work fine, the only thing is I'm not a fan of the scent, but I'm sure lots of people love it it's just not my type.

Sorry about the quality of some of the pictures, I tried to edit them as best I could but the camera really didn't like that background apparently :(

I hope you've found this post useful and I'll talk to you next week!

Prom makeup haul

Hi guys, sorry this is late but I was on holiday in New York this past week so I wasn't able to blog. A travel post will follow, I have quite a few lined up at the moment. The next one will be june favourites and it will have a video in it! I'm planning on filming that either today if I find the time or tomorrow. If you want to check out my vlog channel with some (quiet) vlogs of New York too here's the link: http://www.youtube.com/user/ElinorsVlogs .

Anyway, on with the haul. I was planning on going into MAC but the only MAC's around me are a real pain to get to if you don't drive. So this is all drugstore/high street makeup.

The first thing I got was a Maybelline 24 hour color tattoo in the shade 40-permanent taupe. This is a cream-gel eyeshadow and it's a taupe colour so mushroomy-brown. It's gorgeous and it does not budge. I used it as a base. It's really easy to apply and it made the eyesahdow I put on top (patina) pop. This would also look great if you just want a neutral wash of colour on your lids or if you're on the go and want a quick fix.

I also picked up a new foundation because I found that the l'Oreal Lumi Magique foundation wasn't quite suited to my skin type. I have dry skin and it gets a bit flakey on me. Anyway, I bought the Bourjois healthy mix foundation and I'm a shade 51 so pale. I absolutely love it. I find it actually benefits my skin as it's quite moisturising. It has a lovely dewy, radiant finish but it doesn't look wet like some "dewy" foundations can. I didn't use a powder with it and it was fine. I think they have quite a good range of shades too.

For my cheeks I wanted something natural so I picked up one of Bourjois cream blushes. I got the shade 01-nude velvet. It's a peachy-pink colour but it just give's you a natural glow and not overly pigmented. I really like it.

Then, for my lips I also wanted something quite nude because I was going quite full-on with the eyes. I got a Rimmel Kate Moss lipstick in the colour 101 and one of the Apocalips lip lacquers in the colour celestial. They're both really nice products and they're really long lasting. The Kate Moss lipstick are not too drying and the Apocalips are quite moisturising and not too sticky.

Finally, for my eyes I bought a black Soft Kohl Kajal eyeliner by Rimmel. It's very pigmented and easy to apply. The only problem is, because it's so soft, the nib get's quite bent. I still really like this product though.

Scotland haul

I've been in Scotland for about a week now and we went shopping. Twice. I don't think we'll be going again though so I thought I'd do a haul post. I didn't get loads of things, in fact it's all beauty, I didn't find any clothes that I liked or that fit well.

First, I went to Boots. I love Boots, it's the one shop I miss the most in Belgium so it's a must whenever we come to the UK. We also walked in to discover that loads of the makeup was on a 3 for 2 offer, brilliant!

Anyway, I picked up the l'Oreal GlamShine Stain Splash in Princess. I really wanted it in Juliet but I couldn't find it so I settled for this one. Its lovely too. very glossy, not too sticky and it has brilliant colour payoff.

I also got a Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter in Sorbet. I wouldn't normally go for such a vibrant hot pink lipstick put I really like this one. It's really moisturising on the lips too. It's quite pigmented and it's not sticky at all. I love it.

Lastly from Boots, I bought th Maybelline The Falsies mascara. I'm running out of my Rimmel Scandal eyes one. To be honest, it wasn't amazing. It was ok if you worked with it but I found it quite hard to apply without getting it everywhere. I've heard so many good things about this Maybelline one though and so I picked it up. I will do a full review on it soon because I haven't tried it yet.

After that I went to Lush. I don't usually buy things from Lush but as I walked past it I remembered someone telling me that the Lip Scrubs were really good. So, naturally, I went in.

The first thing I saw was the Ultrabalm. I wasn't going to buy more than the Lip Scrub but this stuff is incredible. This can be used anywhere on your body. It feels really nourishing and moisturising. It says on the package that it restores, sooths, protects, relievs and moisturises. Perfect for any dry skin patches! Lush products are all naturall too which is a huge plus.

I then went and picked up what I planned to pick up: a Lip Scrub. Most of the scents really didn't appeal to me but I got the Popcorn one. It's less sickly sweet smelling than the others. It tastes quite nice too and it does work. I've just tried the tiniest amount and my lips feel exfoliated and softer. If you then put the Ultrabalm on top it will leave your lips feeling uber soft and smooth.

That is all I got from Scotland. I hoped to have got more things. I was planning on buying the Urban Decay Naked palette but couldn't find it unfortunately. Anyway, I'm quite satisfied with my purchases and at least I didn't break the bank!
